Meg McClung
Assistant Director
Hi, I’m Meg! I’m originally from Alabama and now serve with YWAM Ustroń alongside my husband Josh and our three children. I focus on hospitality—preparing rooms for guests, planning meals, cooking, and making spaces feel like home. I guess it makes me the base mom!
My call to missions developed gradually throughout my young adult life. I grew up in a ministry family and spent part of high school in Budapest, Hungary, where I fell in love with Central Europe. My sister married Greg, a Pole, after their DTS, and they began serving in Poland with King’s Kids. Over the years, Josh and I visited them on mission trips that sparked a desire in our hearts to serve here too. In 2020, our family did a DTS together as the first step toward joining them in long-term missions.
I love living in Ustroń! It’s peaceful, full of natural beauty, and family-oriented. It’s the kind of place where a walk by the river or a hike in the hills can refresh your soul. I’ve also rediscovered my love of cooking and baking here, and I find joy in creating meals that nourish both body and spirit.
Right now, I’m especially drawn to mentoring and hospitality. I have a heart for caring for missionaries through rest and renewal—offering respite that prevents burnout and supports long-term sustainability in ministry. I also love encouraging people in the truth of who Jesus is and who they are in Him.
Life here can be a delicate balance, especially with a baby in the mix, but even in the short bursts between naps and homework, I’ve seen how God uses small moments to build His Kingdom. I’m learning to let go of finding my identity in what I do and instead lean into His presence, even in the mess and the margins. My hope is that this place becomes a refuge for others too—a place of peace, connection, and launching into God’s call.
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
— Joshua 1:9 NLT
